LASER PHOTOREJUVENATION - BEFORE AND AFTER


1 MOUNTH BEFORE THE PROCEDURE

• absolutely not allowed to sunbathe and to use tanning creams min. 1 month before surgery

• you must not use herbs: St. John's wort, calendula, or drink any slimming tea (the surgery can be performed 3 weeks after cessation of use)

• you must not take any drugs, antibiotics or cosmetics that may cause photosensitization (surgery can be performed 3 weeks after cessation of use)


1 WEEK BEFORE THE PROCEDURE

• you should stop using drugs that reduce blood coagulability, such as Aspirin

• do not use squamous drugs


RIGHT BEFORE THE PROCEDURE

• treatment area must be clean (no lotions, creams, etc.)

• if face is to be treated, you need to wash your makeup off very carefully


RIGHT AFTER THE PROCEDURE

After treatment the skin may be appear red and swollen, there may be scabs and blisters. Freckles and discoloration may appear darker.

These symptoms should disappear after 4-7 days.

Other reactions such as skin bruising are extremely rare, and long-lasting staining or discoloration of the skin, occur mainly if you do not follow the before and after treatment recommendations.

Immediately after treatment you can return to your normal activities, but remember:

• not to irritate the skin in treated area

• to moisturize the skin regularly

• not to use preparations with alcohol and soap

• to refrain from imposing on makeup when the skin is damaged

• to avoid exercise and sauna for the first few days after surgery


1 MOUNTH AFTER THE PROCEDURE

• always avoid exposure to the sun of the treated area

• if it is not possible to avoid sun, it is imperative to use filters with very high sunscreen (SPF 50 +)

• you should not use herbs: St. John's wort, calendula, or drink slimming tea

• do not use squamous drugs
